Conservation and renovation of the museum, involved the refurbishment of the existing heritage building and included the complete renovation of the existing basement, restoration of original grate stoves and fireplaces and installation of new timber sash windows.
A new modern entrance facility and lobby area was also constructed.
Former home and school ran by Padraig Pearse, leader of the 1916 Rising.
