Clybaun House Hotel

Purcell performed the role of main contractor and PSCS on this project.

The Works consisted of the construction of a 90 bedroom hotel and leisure centre with basement car parking for 120 cars. The Leisure centre incorporates an 18m Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steamroom, Dance Studio, Spa Pool and Gymnasium

The project comprises a reinforced concrete basement and ground floor with a three storey composite steel framed structure overhead, with composite steel and concrete floors. The excavation of the basement included the removal of a significant amount of granite rock.

Due to the location of the hotel, works also necessitated forming a new entrance off the Western Distributor road, one of the way access route from the west of Galway city.
