CHANGING ROLES
The Board of Purcell Construction is delighted to announce the strengthening of our leadership team, through a number of senior appointments, in line with our strategy for sustainable growth and expansion.
Michael Bane will now move to the position of Chairman of the Company. Michael originally joined Purcell in 1992 as a Contracts Manager, before being appointed as Construction Director in 1995 and Managing Director in 2006.
Derek Timlin will take over from Michael, as our new Managing Director. Derek joined Purcell as a QS & Estimator in 1997, before being appointed as Commercial Director in 2006.
Tom Whelan will take on the role of Commercial Director on post tender projects. Tom joined Purcell in 2003 as a Snr. QS and was appointed Surveying Director in 2006.
NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Tom O’Sullivan is welcomed to the Board in the role of Estimating Director. Tom has worked with us since 2010 as our Estimating Manager, working on a large variety of public and private projects. In his new position on the Board, Tom will have responsibility for business development, estimating and tendering.
Maria O’Connor is also welcomed to the Board in the role of Financial Director. Maria joined us in 2017 as Company Accountant and progressed to Financial Controller in 2018. Her new role incorporates financial strategy, corporate governance, risk management and internal controls.
We believe that all of these changes will strengthen our Board and allow us to grow on the platform that we have all built together.
