The Role
Junior Estimator working under the guidance of Senior Estimators with responsibilities for :-
- Support Senior Estimators in the review and assessment of tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports and project scope requirements.
- Prepare consultant, subcontractor and material enquiry packages, and assist with cost analysis, comparisons and pricing activities using estimating software.
- Manage and maintain tender documentation throughout the tender process, ensuring accuracy, organisation and compliance with company procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tender returns, project handover documentation and estimating reports.
- Contribute to the pricing and review of preliminaries and maintain estimating data to support tender applications and project delivery.
The Candidate
- You will ideally have experience with a main contractor and possess relevant site operations experience and/or strong technical knowledge
- You will have a minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience in an estimating, construction or related role.
- You will have the ability to interpret drawings, specifications and reports, with an understanding of project risks and requirements.
- You will be a clear and concise communicator with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to your work.
- You will be capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- You will be highly organised, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently while managing competing deadlines.
- You will hold a diploma or degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related Construction discipline.
- You will be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with knowledge of Conquest software considered an advantage.
- You will hold a valid driving licence.
