The Opportunity

You will be joining a leading Irish building contractor committed to the highest standards of safety, quality and sustainability with an earned reputation for delivering outstanding quality projects which meet and exceed our client’s expectations.

You will work as part of the Environmental, Health and Safety team where you will be supported and provided with the opportunity develop and progress your career in EHS.

 The Role

Working alongside an experienced Safety Officer to:

  • Support and promote a positive safety culture onsite, ensuring compliance with the ISO‑accredited safety management system.
  • Coordinate and deliver key EHS activities including inductions, safety briefings, documentation reviews, and incident support.
  • Monitor site safety performance through inspections, audits, environmental checks, and behavioural‑based safety initiatives.
  • Actively participate in planning, site meetings, and cross‑functional coordination to identify risks and ensure safe execution of works.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records and contribute to company‑wide safety improvements with the broader EHS team.

The Person

  • Minimum of a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an EHS Construction role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices; Safe Pass/manual handling desirable.
  • Good understanding of a construction site environment and ability to identify and implement best practices.
  • Have a strong sense on honesty and integrity
  • Excellent communicator with integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to build positive relationships across all levels.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to problem‑solve while promoting best practices and innovative safety solutions.
  • Competent with MS Office and comfortable learning new software systems.
  • Good time keeping, attention to detail and problem-solving aptitudes
  • Innovative by sharing ideas and challenging standard practices
  • Safe pass and manual handling training desirable.
