The Role
- Lead and manage the design process from tender through to project completion, ensuring delivery in line with programme, contract requirements and client expectations
- Coordinate design teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors to ensure all design information is fully integrated, compliant and construction ready.
- Manage design programmes, technical submissions, RFIs, design reviews and information flow to support procurement and construction activities.
- Drive buildability, value engineering, risk management and compliance with Building Regulations, BCAR, planning conditions and industry standards.
- Act as the key design liaison between clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams, providing leadership throughout the project lifecycle
The Candidate
- You will hold a relevant degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
- You will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the construction industry, including at least 3 years in a Design Management role within a Main Contractor, Consultant or Design & Build environment.
- You will have strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, BCAR requirements and Design & Build procurement.
- You will have proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
- You will be experienced in BIM, design coordination and document management systems.
- You will possess excellent leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- You will have strong technical, commercial and risk management awareness, with a focus on quality and project delivery.
- You will hold a full clean driving licence.
