The Role
- Manage the projects to meet programme and to ensure handover, or phased handover, on time and within budget.
- Be responsible for and monitor overall safety on sites under your control, liaising with the Safety Manager and maintain progress in accordance with H&S Regulations and PCL EHS System.
- Prepare, issue and monitor construction programmes, liaise with the Design Team and Project Manager, keeping all informed of schedule / programme changes and variations.
- Represent the company at site meetings, preparing and presenting professional Contractors Reports, Progress Reports, and Info. Required Schedules.
- Monitor the quality of the works and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations and good building practice.
- Liaise with the Contracts Director to staff projects.
- Monitor all site records for completeness and accuracy – diaries, allocations sheets, Advice Forms.
- Report to the Contracts Director and Managing Director on all projects, ensuring they are being managed in accordance with company systems. Provide weekly Site /Project Report.
- Liaise with the Contracts Director, Purchasing Manager, QS & Head Office to ensure timely provision of essential reports, records, information, and services.
The Candidate
- You will have a Degree in Construction, Engineering or related discipline
- You will have 10+ years experience in Senior Management, including at least 3 years as a Contracts Manager within a Main Contractor background.
- You will be a proven leader with strong negotiation, communication & team management skills.
- You will have technical expertise in interpreting drawings, specifications & works requirements.
- You will be a motivated, innovative leader with commercial acumen and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- You will have excellent time management skills and be adept at managing multiple projects efficiently.
