Procedures
- Ensure compliance with Purcell Quality Management System & ISO 9001
- Ensure compliance with Purcell EHS Management System & OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001
Services Management
- Coordinate construction of projects to meet programme and to ensure handover of project / and phased handover, on time.
- Produce Method Statements for M&E at Pre-Tender stage.
- Arrange Electrical site set up for the duration of project including temporary electrics.
- Obtain Quotations and make recommendations for such work in conjunction with Contracts, Site Managers, QS, and Purchasing.
- Operate within defined Budgets.
- Review all M&E Design Drawings to ensure compliance with design specification and guidelines.
- Review Construction issue of Services Drawings and highlight changes from Tender.
- Produce Outline Programmes for Services Installations
- Set up Initial Meetings pre-contract with Services Subcontractors
- Ensure that Services Subcontractors comply with PCL requirements and conditions of Subcontract.
- Organize and chair Services Coordination site meetings and circulate minutes.
- Identify discrepancies between M&E, Structural, Architectural and Client provisions.
- Manage M&E Subcontractors work progress, shop drawings, method statements submissions and approvals.
- Ensure that Builders Work drawings are produced in time with all Services Subcontractors input.
- Ensure that Final Builders Work Drawings are agreed and issued to all Subcontractors / Design Team / PCL for approval.
- Obtain material submittals, including proposed alternatives, from Subcontractors for submission and approval for by the Design Team within agreed dates.
- Obtain M&E material samples for approval within agreed dates.
- Ensure M&E works are coordinated on site between PCL Management, Clients, Consultants and Subcontractors.
- Review progress reports from Subcontractors.
- Carry out regular Reviews of Services Installations.
- Compile information for Safety file from Subcontractors to include As Installed Services – Drawings, Specifications, Commissioning Records and Maintenance information.
- Provide defined Reports to Management.
Record Keeping
- Assist the CM, QS, HO and Design Team, to ensure timely provision of essential reports, records, information, and services – i.e. site diary.
Finance & General
- Liaise and coordinate with the CM & QS to ensure the project is constructed in a cost-effective manner, to meet overall budget requirements.
- Support the project QS with the measurement, reporting and reconciliation of quantities, materials usage, and waste.
Other
- Any other duties that may be reasonably allocated from time to time, in the pursuit of company goals.
The Candidate
- Must have a Level 7 or greater qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services (or relevant trade background with further education).
- Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a services coordination role.
- Must be experienced in system start-up and commissioning across a broad range of M&E services (fire, life safety, HVAC, power, controls, water, sprinklers, etc.).
- Must be proficient with computer skills, Microsoft office suite, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.
- Must be an excellent communicator with strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Must advocate for attention to detail and quality.
- Must be a strong team player.
- Must have a full clean driving license.
- Must be a fluent English speaker.
